THE JOURNAL

Chapter 1
Kate never knew what she was doing. Jason didn’t want to do it but they both craved adventure. There adventure took place at an old abandoned neighborhood. “Hey! Jason I know this house in this old neighborhood. It’s really creepy and it screams adventure!” Kate told Jason. “Cool. Are we going to tonight?” Jason asked. “Yeah!” Kate said excitingly.
Later that night Jason and Kate met outside of the old abandoned neighborhood. “Did you bring a flashlight?” Jason asked. “Yep” Kate said. “Good let’s get going” Jason said. They climbed down the hill that leads to the neighborhood. They walk down to the old, abandoned house. The neighborhood was a dark place and the houses look like they would turn to ash in one touch. This particular house was stable, dusty, and just a plain creepy.
The two walked into the house. Matter of fact it looked kind of homey. There was still furniture and the place looked like someone was still staying there. “Creepy house” Kate stated. They went upstairs. Kate started looking around. Jason was drawn to one room only. “Kate, let’s go in this room” Jason said. “Sure” Kate said.
Jason opened the door. “Wow!” Jason and Kate exclaimed. The room was a girl’s room that was completely different from the other rooms. This room was a lot cleaner, organized and tidy. On the back wall the bed was made and also there was a book in the center. “What’s that?” Jason asked. “I think it’s a journal” Kate answered. “Let’s read it!” Jason suggested. “Sure” Kate said. Jason ran to the bed and picked up the journal.
